ClamWin Free Antivirus is an open source antivirus system for Windows developed by ClamWin Pty Ltd.
ClamWin Free Antivirus offers a free alternative for Windows OS antivirus program. It features a high detection rates for viruses and spyware, a scanning scheduler and automatic updates for virus database. It also performs virus scanning and can be integrated to Internet Explorer. It also does integrate Microsoft Outlook e-mail client to remove virus-infected attachments automatically.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t include a real-time scanner and users need to manually scan a file in order to check files from Internet.
Amidst all other Antivirus giants, ClamWin delivers an effective virus and spyware detection for Windows computers. It also encourages users to submit undetected viruses to increase its efficacy on discerning threats and other harmful files from the web.
